Jett - 10 days old

Talk about the perfect newborn model. Gorgeous little boy who was so mellow! He slept a bunch, but also had some wakeful moments so we could see his beautiful blue eyes. In fact, when I was posing him with his hands under his chin, he opened his eyes and gave me this look like "What do you think you're doing?"... and then promptly went back to sleep. Such a cutie. Alyssa Newborn Shoot - 8 days old

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing baby Alyssa at 8 days old yesterday. We were both newbies in a way... she's brand new to the world, and I'm brand new to posing newborns.

Her parents are super interesting people (they got married, underwater, at Molokini) and they raise money for orphans in Russia through their organization www.Iorphan.org.

They were really patient with the process and baby Alyssa was so tolerant of my learning curve. Here's a few of my favorites from that session.
